Thank God I'm a Country Boy...

Well, Logan lost his hockey game 3-4.  But, he did make one of the goals, so it was exciting.  After being in Pittsburgh, I always realize how blessed I am to live where I do.  In such a quiet little town, bordered on on side by farm communities, and bordered by shopping and restaurants on the other.  Today should be a nice day.  I'll be heading over to my mother's house around 1:30pm.  I think we're going out for dinner, too, which is something that we don't do very often.  New Year's Eve is coming quickly.   I'm not quite sure what's going on, but I hope I can just have a relaxing evening at home.  I know what my resolution is... and that's to lose weight.  I know that millions of poeple throughout the world decide that they want to be healhier in the new year, and they fail miserably.  I really hope that with the help of family and friends, as well as my doctors, that I can set foot on this new journey as a healthy person.

Blessings,
Jason

Good luck with the healthier eating, my friend. It's so nice because there's so many fat-free alternatives to all the stuff that you're probably used to eating. I remember when my dear Dad became a diabetic years and years ago (Dad's been gone almost 20 years now), there was NOTHING in the stores that was sugar-free. Now there's everything that's sugar-free. The same goes for fat-free.... even sour cream and potato chips.

So, if you start by just buying fat-free and sugar-free stuff and not counting calories or anything, you'll be down several pounds before you even realize it and then you can start thinking about other ways to clean-up your diet. By that time, you won't "need to eat" but at first, at least for me, you need to be able to EAT... and the fat-free, sugar-free alternatives were just the ticket for me. It's been awhile since I've eaten poorly and I don't think I could ever go back to that way of life again. Eating healthy just has way too many benefits.

Good luck and God bless~ Andrea

Good Luck
