Thank God I'm a Country Boy...

My sister started 3rd Shift today, so she'll be working 11pm-7am.  This means that I get to play Uncle Jason and babysit three days a week, which is just wonderful.  The other days my Grandmother will babysit.  I arrived at my sister's house around 9am.  Baby Lilly was still asleep, and didn't wake up until 10:30am.  When I walked into her room, she saw me and got the hugest grin!  Oh, my heart melted!  I took her out to the living room then and changed her, and then got her baby cereal ready.  This was the first time I'd fed her cereal, I've only ever done the bottle.  But, I do have experience in feeding alzheimer's patients when I worked at a nursing home, so it was basically the same thing.  I did make quite a mess though, and I think she had more food in her nose then in her mouth!!  hahaha!!  She just wouldn't sit still!  I guess that's to be expected though.  After her feeding, we played together for awhile, and then she got worn out pretty quickly, because she still has a slight cold that just won't go away.  Poor dear.  Before I knew it, my sister was up and ready and I was able to leave.  I babysit again tomorrow and I certainly hope that all goes as well as it did today!
