Thank God I'm a Country Boy... -

Well, I'm home from the Grand Hotel in Mackinac Island, Michigan. It was so magical, I can't even describe it. First we took a plane from State College, PA to Detroit, Michigan. Then we took another plan from Detroit to Pellston, Michigan. After that we took a van from Pellston to Mackinaw City, Michigan. Following that, we took a ferry from Mackinaw City to Mackinac Island, Michigan. Quite an adventure, I must say so. There are no cars on the island, so we had to either walk or take a horse and carriage. I have two massive blisters on my left foot that are killing me from when we walked 5 miles to Arch Rock, a magnificant rock formation on the shores of Lake Huron. The water was crystal clear and it looked like the carribean. I never knew how beautiful the great lakes are. Each night at the hotel we had a five course dinner. That was nice, but I found that I don't like "fancy foods" like caviar, raw fish, or salads made with mixed greens. I guess you could call me a chicken fingers and fries kind of person, haha! Well, time to go for now... I'll update more later.
