I have a terrible toothache. I went to the dentist yesterday and he said I have an abscess and it's gone clear into the root. I've never really had dental problems, so this kind of pain is new to me, and let's just say I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to pain. I've been using two differant kinds of numbing mediicine and on top of those I've been taking Aleve or Extra Strength Tylenol. But, what seems to have helped the most, and seems to have helped with the swelling, was a Vanilla milkshake I had last night. hahaha! Well, looks like today should be a good day, I hope...

Ugh...tooth abcess....

My sweet Hubby had an abcess recently. It was the worst pain he had ever experienced. End result was a pulled tooth. The infection was so bad that two rounds of antibiotics still hadn't touched the infection. Went to the ER to get shot of a stronger antibiotic and pain killer. He had tried Lortab and Demerol...neither touched the pain. He was in some serious agony.
I would encourage you to get the abcess taken care of ASAP..havent' read the rest of your blog...and perhaps you are already in the midst of doing so...just can't encourage you enough to not let it go too long...the pain I saw my Honey experience was awful....
