Photo proof....we really did do it!
After writing my last post on our experiences with handwashing laundry, I found some photos of the kids "enjoying" their task. Thought you might enjoy seeing them in action!
This is Chairs: She's 13.....notice the earphones and rubber gloves!

Here is Caleb: He's 11 and would rather be hunting innocent squirrels! I have no idea why this picture came out so huge. Anyone else get headaches from trying to figure out how to do some of this stuff?!!!

Mara: Age 9 : She was the first of the 3 to try out the chore and actually enjoyed it.......at first!

It's very very late now and I am heading off to bed to try and sleep off the extensive hours of trying to read the html codes and such on my template.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures!

Your kids are great! When hurricane Katrina hit last year, we were without power for 9 days, so I had to do the laundry in a tub with a scrub board that I hanging on the wall for decoration. It was ok except for the heat. And my kids (who are 22, 23, 13) did not help me lol.

Just kidding. It does give you a headache. I love the b&w pics of your kids doing their laundry! I"m going to show them to my girls to show them how easy they've got it.... Not sure why the photo is big, when I upload to auctionboutique it gives the option of three sizes, big, normal, and small. Small seems normal to me, not small at all! Maybe you have something like that - Hope you had a restful night's sleep, friend. - Chris

Your kids will someday refer to those pictures as the "good old days"! No smoke in the air today.....What we were experiencing yesterday was a field fire southwest of us. Poor farmers try to harvest their crops and it's so dry their machinery starts fires. Lord, may we have some rain, please! Have a terrific week.........Denise (prairiemom)

Love the visit I've had here! What kindred spirits (LOL...hmmm, am I referring to the shared homesteading love our two families have...or the children doing chores with headphones??!! LOL)
Can't wait to visit again and follow the updates.

About Me
My husband and I along with our 3 children, moved from Iowa to Montana 3 years ago fulfilling a long time dream of living in the mountains. Last summer we purchased and moved onto our bare land and are currently living in our home made cabin which has evolved from a shed to a barn to our cabin and future guest house. The foundation for what we now call "The big house" is dug and waiting for our next burst of energy!
