Wednesday, January 23, 2008 - Did Mistress Bee Survive???

Well the answer is 'Yes' and 'No'. The weddings and the receptions were indeed beautiful, each in their own respect, due to the personalities of all the bees involved and their individual tastes. They would be much too much to even try to describe. But Mistress Bee DEFINITELY bit off more than she could chew and didn't quite feel as if she measured up to accomplishing all of the tasks for Princess Bee's reception. I am much worn out and 'bee'-ing the 'perfectionist' that I am have beaten myself up mentally for not being more able bodied, mentally and physically and even spiritually. But let me back track just a little. Princess Bee and Prince Bee Charming Did Not get married on January 4th as planned but rather "Temple Eloped" on December 13th, the reception for Princess Bee was still held on January 4th as stated on their announcements. (Yes both set of parents and her brothers were at their marriage ceremony, But it will teach Master Drone not to tell his children - especially 'daughters' when they can or can't get married). Mr. Green Bee wasn't thrilled that younger sister made it to the altar before him but he did survive the shock. He and Cinderella Bee wished they could have eloped too (They had really wanted to get married in November) but they did indeed wait until December 29th as her family had dictated, as they felt it was in the best interest of his and her's relationship with her family.

Bumblebee (our 11 yr old) came down with a severe case of the Chicken Pox on the Day of Mr. Green Bee's Wedding and Jr. Bumblebee (age 6) lost his first tooth (only no one noticed until Mistress Bee was trying to get him to smile while the photographer was taking pictures and realized there was 'something' missing in his smile..lol). Whether it was lost during the night, while eating or somewhere on the Temple Grounds no one knows...not even the little bee...but the tooth fairy did still impart her usual $1.00 later that week. The wedding preperations became so stressful that Mistress Bee did enroll her younger bees in a very small homebased charter school back in November and for now they will remain there. (I know that will come as a disappointment to many of you out there...I am sorry). They are doing well for the time being.

Master Drone's Grandmother passed away on the 8 of January - The same day our Married Drone Bee (our Eldest age 26 signed the papers to join the army). He shipped out yesterday, January 22nd, much to his Queen Bee's dismay and tearful goodbye. (I escorted her to the Military Office early in the morning to watch him be sworn in.) He was flown to Ft. Jackson South Carolina where he will spend the next 9 weeks for his basic. This is something he has wanted to do all of his life and I know he will be safe in the Lord's hand so I haven't been as fearful. He is following in his father's and father's family footsteps and I will help his Queen Bee learn what I can share about being a 'Military Wife'.

Okay so now I must press forward (which I am finding out is not as easy as I had hoped). I am still learning my 'new role' in these new marriage relationships as I have always been very close to my children and they are now pulling away. It isn't always easy, but I am trying. Master Drone says I am putting on a 'Good Front' but I must ever be watchful of what I say and do so I can maintain a good repoire with all. The Lord has promised me that He will watch over them so I really do need to try and let Him and start worrying (my best trait...lol...that and 'sarcasm') about the younger 3 bees and trying to see that they are taught the way I think the Lord would have me, but now for reasons I do not feel I can divulge in this forum, I question myself constantly as I am watching the choices my others bee's are making as they are now growing on their own (and I must not interfere - I did my job the best way I thought I should, but was I too strict (trust me I really am)...or should I have been less....well there's no point in going on....what's done is done....and I must move on...there is no going back). I know not when I shall post again as I stated there is much that I must now keep inside and cannot share publicly, and I feel so helpless that it would be hard to help others, as I know you too have Lives full of Joys and Challenges also, so we shall see. Time will tell. I just don't feel confident in relationships right now. I only wanted to let you know that I am still alive and still buzzing if only in my own head and in my prayers. God Bless You All .

Buzzing Around and Around and Even Upside-Down...............Sincerely, Mistress Bee

Thursday, October 25, 2007 - BEEing Apologetic and Updating,

My deepest and sincerest apologies to all who have shared in the adventures of our Beehive. Life has indeed been busy planning a wedding – Not Just One – BUT TWO!!!!!  Yes indeed you read correctly. You see shortly after my last post I was able to take a small personal vacation to visit some special friends and upon my return (within an hour of my arrival home and not even having had a chance to take a shower) a certain young man had gathered all of my family about him (and my Princess Bee) with only myself being in the dark and got down on one knee and asked for my daughter’s hand in marriage. I really didn’t believe it at first because of all the prior teasing about the subject and the fact that he was wearing an orange T-shirt saying ‘I’m probably lying’ that I had told him ‘NOT’ to wear if indeed he ever ‘Really’ proposed. But indeed the ring box held a very beautiful and very real diamond ring and Princess Bee did happily consent and gave him a kiss. I have been told that the ‘shocked’ look on my face when I realized it was ‘the real thing’ was priceless. (The orange t-shirt has been thus confiscated by Mistress Bee and now is archived in a shadow box to hang forever on their future home’s wall as a remembrance of the occasion along with photo’s – see I’ll show him not to listen...lol ).

The weddings are only a week apart Dec 29th for Mr. Green Bee and his lovely Cinderella Bee (Their colors are white, red and green with a Christmas theme) and Jan. 4th  for Princess Bee and Prince Bee Charming (Their colors are white, lavender and turquoise with a butterfly and teddy bear theme).  And my future Son-in-Law’s Sister is getting married the day before my son’s, so two families now have two weddings within a week of one another. Yes they are all planning to be temple weddings and we are all joyful for this fact.  Princess Bee and Prince Bee Charming are even going to have their reception in the same church building that Master Drone and I had our reception 27 yrs ago and where Master Drone was baptized.

So Mistress Bee is sewing a wedding dress, table toppers, skirts and more. Ordering Tuxes, ties, announcements, and planning a luncheon. Trying to get sleep, be supportive, homeschool…lol, and generally trying to stay sane in spite of the fact that although I am gaining two new awesome people into our family, I am also having to ‘cut the apron strings’ and try to let go and hoping that I have done enough to prepare them for the journey that lies ahead. And did someone have to remind me that there are a couple more holidays that need squeezing into the next couple of months too…*sigh*.

Master Drone is busy working on the roof (we now have patio and awning) so it can be foamed so that perhaps soon (whatever defines soon in his mind..lol) we will finally be able to finish the new bedroom and my clutter will finally get organized and find a place to call home so that the spirit can dwell better here in the house. But don’t worry there will always be another project I am sure…landscaping the backyard is next!!!!

So you see I have very little time for the computer and blogging (my email box has 122 messages unread as of this moment and I’m having a guilt trip for my lack of journaling) with everything going on and beg forgiveness from all of you who have touched my life with your love and support, uplifting comments and encouragement. I beg forgiveness that I am not as much a part of your lives as I once was and hope that you will understand. May you all Bee Blessed and know that you are thought of and in my prayers, for God is indeed Good and has shown me his love not only personally but through my relationships here at HSB. I don’t know when I’ll have a chance to update again but please know how much you each are appreciated in my heart.

Buzzing Off………………..Sincerely, A Very Busy Mistress Bee

Wednesday, September 12, 2007 - The BEE ‘Buzz’ or ‘Where are my Clippers’

This past Sunday, Mr. Green Bee insisted that the 'OX was in the Mire' (it had been at least 8 weeks) and needed to have a haircut (I do the haircutting around here and I DO NOT cut hair on the Sabbath unless it is a 'true' emergency. And yes I did cut his hair). And Why May you ask? Because Sunday Afternoon He was going to ask a certain young lady's Father for her hand in marriage!!!  I guess they both went together to talk to her folks and they said "It was up to her" so I guess he did the only thing he could (so he says) and got down on one knee and 'officially' proposed, right then and there in front of her parents. What did she say (after recovering from the shock..lol)?

                                  YES!

I'll be getting a new daughter in law! So although we thought it would be a November wedding, it didn't work with his fiancee's family's schedule. So it now appears the official date will be December 29th in the Temple. Now for all the 'practical' needs of planning a wedding. Getting Together with the other set of parents. Deciding who pays for what. Oh me oh my why did I decide to cut that Bee's Hair....lol

Buzzzzzzing Off (He does look much better now).................

Sincerely, Mistress Bee
