Hi all.  Went to the VA Hospital yesterday.  I had a CT scan on my feet.  Then off to see the Podiatrist.  I have 3 shattered bones on the top of my foot above the arch.  Surgery will not help---Yeah!!  I will be in a walking boot for 6-14 weeks  and using a wheelchair.  UGH!! 

I am praying for accelerated osetocyte (bone cell) growth.  As the cells form the bone gets bigger until the fragments are touching each other and fill the space they should.  Of course, they won't be shaped exactly the same as the orginal broken bone so the fluidity will not be the same.  And there will probably be some ongoing arthritis.    It will be so nice to walk relatively normal again.
