Logging the Season

in Vegetables and Fruits - Post Comment

Okay, I know it's boring, but I found myself referring back to last year's entries to help me remember what I did, so I'm going to start keeping track of a few more details.

Temperature today: 20C

Planting list: Broccoli (72), Cauliflower (54)

I must be insane.

Shortly, I will be wandering out to my shed to plug in the heater for the night, look at the two empty flats I haven't planted yet, and realize that I'm too tired to start the herbs tonight. I need to recruit the kids to help me take my metal shelf out there, so we can make space for everything on our list this year.

I am totally slap-happy about my shed. It's sooooo cool to have that much dedicated space, just for my plants. That Acre Garden is so alluring, between it and the shed I'm happily drowning myself in gardening plans.

I've been debating what to put out there for the Counting Tomatoes Contest this year, though I think it'll be a "Counting Brassicae" contest, by the looks of it. Right now, I don't have the brains for it - everyone seems a bit under the weather today. Headaches and sore throats and such.
