A Warming Trend?

Prairie Talk: I hear it's supposed to be nice fer the weekend. About time, eh?
It has been -30 Celsius at night (and sometimes during the day) for, like, how many miillenia, already? There's supposed to be a reprieve in sight tomorrow and for a couple of days. February was just not like this last year.
That's okay. The cold kills flu viruses, tent caterpillar eggs, and all kinds of things that plague warmer climates. Including those really vile plagues rose bushes and apple trees. (I'm a little worried about that -- the death rate, not the plaguedness. I could use some more plague of those varieties.)
It's sit-by-the-fire weather, that's for sure. I've been spending the last few days ignoring my blogs and working on my novel. I am learning to make harsh editorial decisions. That is my "grow up and quit whining" lesson for the year, I suspect.
I'm looking forward to next week -- I won't be in the city again within the right time frame before March, so I'm a-goin' seed shoppin'... ya ta da ta da... Now that's exciting.
Early next week, like maybe Monday evening or so, the February edition of the Lazy Creek e-news hits people's in-boxes. Features this month include an article from the British perspective from Jackie Bridgen and a couple of somethin' elses that I'm too lazy to look up right now. Oh, I know. Stuff about customers reporting bugs in their flower bouquets and why it's a good thing for them to speak up. And the other thing, which is a really big secret that I can't tell you about. Because I haven't written it yet. But it'll be about home and family.
If you're wondering what exactly the e-news is, it's not overly obnoxious on your time. Once a month, I spit out a conglomerate based on what I already do, except it's content I don't feature anywhere else. There's gardening, beekeeping, homesteading and child-wrangling stuff.
Pardon me for being so boring and gauche as to re-mention the lousy thing again. There's not much else goin' on in this deep-freeze right now.
