"Sunshine" - fruit-and-honey iced tea

Sunshine

This started out as homemade iced tea, then morphed into a fruity summer drink. Put a creative artist in the kitchen, and you never know what will happen... But this time it turned out just fine. (Whew.)

1.5 L boiling water
1 regular teabag  - Tetley Orange Pekoe is my preference
1 herbal teabag - raspberry, peach, berry or your choice
1 lemon, sliced, rind on
1 orange, sliced, rind on
3/4 C. liquid alfalfa honey (or sugar if necessary)

Pour boiling water into a heavy glass bowl that won’t crack. Add teabags and stir with a wooden spoon till steeped to your liking.

Remove teabags and add honey, lemon and orange. Stir till honey is dissolved. Let sit till cool, then chill in the fridge, leaving fruit in. Strain before serving. Made the day before serving, it develops a great, mild citrus flavour
