Graphic courtesy of www.allposters.com Can y'all believe it is August already? This year is really flying by fast. I remember when I was younger I thought time went by so slow. Now, I think, "where has the time gone". I guess I'm getting old. One thing I used to love around this time of year was back-to-school shopping. Mom, sometimes my sister, and I would go to the mall. We would go to Penney's because they were the only ones with jeans for long legs like mine, Bacon's (a local department store) for Sunday dresses, and Shoe Carnival for new tennis shoes and black leather dress shoes. For school supplies we would go to the drug store. Bryson and I are going shopping today. My husband and Nick are at a freshman "information day" at his new high school this morning and then later they're going to the mall to get his pants for school. I decided to stay out of shopping for his clothes. Nick manipulates all situations to get what he wants and then darlin' gets upset with me, so I'm out. Bryson and I are going to Office Depot to get the school supplies for he and Nick. Then, we're going to Kohl's for his shoes and possibly a new first day of school outfit. I need some nightgowns, desperately. Of course I'll check out the sale sections for some new dresses. The nice thing is that we still have another 2+ months of wearing summer items so hopefully I can get some good deals. I thought about getting Bryson his jeans, but I'd hate to get them if he can't wear them when they're needed. He's growing so much! Don't forget Georgia residents that this weekend is a tax free holiday for all school supplies, clothing, and electronics! Have a great day everyone! Blessings, ~Farrah |
