Quick question

Hey!

I am wondering whether y'all use flickr, photobucket, or some other way of loading pictures without them being humongous on the screen.  I'm sure y'all would love to see my beautiful family, but not bigger than your computer monitor!!!

Thanks in advance!

Blessings,

~Farrah

NOTE FROM EDITOR: Okay, I guess that wasn't necessary, but cool.  Anyway, my camera batteries died as I was downloading them. I will try to get the vacation pictures as well as my Feminine Friday dress (see Kelly's blog at www.thebarefootmama.com for details) hopefully tomorrow.

I use photobucket, but I generally resize all of my pictures on my own before I upload them into it. There is a way to resize them in photobucket, but I have never tried. Hope that helped! I look forward to seeing your pictures. :-)

I just created an account with Flickr. After you upload your photos, click on one and you will see a row of icons above the photo. Click on the one that says all sizes(magnifying glass). It will go to a page with the photo and gives you available sizes. You will probably want to choose either small or medium. Once you choose, scroll down and you will see 2 options. You need to choose the second option, right click to copy it. In the entry you are adding to your blog, click on the insert/add image icon. On the page that pops up, you need to paste what you copied from flickr into the image URL box. Then click on insert image and it should work.

I use photobucket and flickr. The way you resize the pic is after you have it loaded onto your blog page, you click on the picture itself. Once you've done that you will see small boxes on the outside of the picture. Click on one of them off to the right side and drag it in towards the left. Do the same action from top to bottom. This should help you size your picture to the size you want it to be. I have to resize all my photos with photobucket, but with flickr, they come the right size. Try that and see if it works.........Kitty

Farrah! My camera batteries are always dying! In fact, they died this morning while I was photographing for FF! LOL! Great minds, er cameras, huh? Haha!

I resize within Typepad, but I also use Photobucket to upload pictures sometimes, too. They let you decide which size you'd like your photos to be.

In your photo program you can resize your pictures before you download them to photo bucket. That is what I do. One way to get around it.
