Today's post is about organizing our day and our lives.
I used to be very organized, before children. I did well after our first child, it wasn't hard to stay organized. After the other children followed, it became more difficult and I just gave up. I did pretty well just keeping up with the house. I buy a new planner each year, but I seldom stick with it. I have high hopes going in, but frustration and guilt soon follow and I once again, give up. I've tried many different ways to become a more organized Mom. This year, I am using (like many other moms here I've noticed!) Create In Me A Clean Heart for my Bible Study. I am also using the Motivated Moms Daily Planner with Bible Readings from Motivated Moms, it took me a while to decide which planner would work best for me. Considering that I have already purchased my daily planner for the year I decided to go with the full page daily chore chart that is listed first on the site. As for my daily planner for appointments and such, I purchased The Family Organizer by Amy Knapp. I do have a very scant looking Household Organizer that I have started, it has various online print-outs in it and I'm adding my daily chore organizer to that. I need to go thru that binder again and reorganize, as it has all sorts of free patterns for knitting and crochet that I have printed out and I plan to keep those in a special section of my binder. Will we moms ever find the "perfect" planner? Well, that depends on each persons idea of perfect! :)
