I thought that today, I would share a recipe with you all. I make homemade yeast rolls and my dh just loves them. I rarely have any left over and this recipe makes over a dozen. I am dough challenged, so I make the dough in my bread maker. My dh loves home made biscuits, but I can't make a decent biscuit from scratch for anything.
To make this dough, you will need:
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/4 cup oil
- 2 tablespoons of honey or brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons of salt
- 4 cups of unbleached bread flour
- 2 teaspoons of active dry yeast
Layer the ingredients in your bread maker in the order given above. Set the bread machine to the Dough Cycle and press start. When the dough is done mixing and rising, divide it into equal pieces and roll into balls, slightly flatten them onto your oiled baking sheet.
Let them rise for about 30 minutes or until they've doubled in size. Bake at 400* for about 20 minutes. These are best served hot, I usually brush the tops with melted butter.
I hope that you enjoy this recipe. It brings a smile to my face every time I make them b/c I know that my dh enjoys them.
