Question about home schooling high schoolers....

I have a senior, girl, junior, boy, freshman, girl.
They are all home schooled.
We don't use a box cirriculum. They have apologia science, abeka grammar, and so on. They choose what they want to do..........
They are self starters and the older two have very good self discipline as far as getting up, and getting their work done without being told.....
My oldest child teaches the math and science and really has taken the middle child under her wing.........
My dh teaches the oldest math and science.

For us, it works because the kids are willing to do the work (without being told or hovered over) and willing to learn with little 'teacher time' (meaning me standing there yammering on and on). They are self starters, motivated to finish the task before them.

I would LOOSE my mind if I had to stand over them for 6 hours making sure they stayed on task and completed their work.I am very thankful that they are responsible!!

We have a 16 yo, 11 yo, and an 11 month old. We homeschool. This is our second year of homeschooling at the high school level. I put together our children's curriculum. I would consider us eclectic. I try to use what works for my children and that usually means picking from different things.
