Fast entry, we got hooked on a game on myspace mobsters. It's alot of fun and addicting though. There is also problems in the house. I will say quickly before he gets in here that I am cleaning and he isn't helping the matter. I clean and he goes and gets things dirty and won't pick up after himself. This is the wife job I feel like a slave and can't get anywhere without his help. He is lazy and not working and not trying to hard to find a job either. I am so upset right now and been in here hiding and doing alot of crying too. I am so fed up!!!

Well he will be in here anytime so I must close. I will write when he is in bed. Till then take care and write later!

I've been there. The woman encourages her husband and lifts him up when he is down (just as the husband should do the same for the wife!). The way I did this was by telling my hubby that I saw so much potentional in him, and that I knew he could do better, and that I knew the reason he wasn't doing it was because he didn't think he could do it. I told him I was relying on him, the whole family was, and that I couldn't keep this house and this family running like it needs to, without him working and helping a bit around the house.

After he got a job, and his self esteem was lifted some, because lots of men see their worth, in how they provide for their families, I sat down with him and we had a "house meeting". If you have children, then you have them join you too if needed, depending on their ages and understanding. And I told hubby, I know you work hard every day, and I know you come home tired, but I need a little more help from you (and the children if needed) on some things.

For instance, one of the deals I have with my hubby is, I will do all the laundry, fold it or hang it and put it away, as long as it is in the laundry room at the end of every day. If it is laying on the floor, it won't get washed. If it is still lying in the upstairs bathroom, it won't get washed. He soon learned it was easier to just bring it down daily to the laundry room. That way when I have a full load, I wash it, instead of him waiting till the end of the week, and bring me 3 loads worth!

Another thing in our household is, we have 2.5 baths. The 1/2 is off our bedroom, and both of us use it equally probably. The downstairs full bathroom (and the one company uses) is mine, and I clean it. The upstairs bathroom is the one Matthew uses when he gets ready for work, and he cleans it.

We both cook. I love to cook, and when I do, he helps me clean up. I schedule days on the calendar (usually a weekend night) for him to cook and I clean up after him.

I guess what I am trying to say is, you need to encourage your hubby, lift him up, get his self esteem higher, respect him, love him, praise him for him to be the man of the house you really want him to be.

I will be praying for you and hubby. Please keep us posted, and feel free to rant anytime you need!

God's Blessings,
Amy Jo
