Our Advent Journey
A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him - the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. (Isaiah 11:1-4)
I am so excited to share this with my children. We have 'tried' in the past to bring this into our family traditions and I have failed to complete it each time we tried.
Well I am determined this year to bring Christ back into Christmas even more around here. We will begin tomorrow by cutting our Jesse Tree, our Traditional Tree and hanging the wreaths in each window of our home.
We will follow the tradition of the 'hanging of the greens'.
So, tomorrow morning we will attend our church service and join our friends for a pot luck Christmas celebration and then we will be heading home and beginning a new Tradition for our family. Please pray with me that I will help my family to experience the REAL Christmas and that the Lord will be the center of our everything, Pray that we will prepare our hearts for what is to be the most wonderful holiday of the year. THE BIRTH OF OUR KING!!

* Share a Blessing!

Hi
This was a really great post. I thoroughly enjoyed it. So much that I included it in The Homesteading Carnival #27: Newness Edition.
Please come by and see.
Thank you,
As Always,
Amanda
