I Enjoy Goats and I Cooked Today!!!

I really like horses and dogs. I think horses are beautiful. I think goats are fun. I think cats are cuddly.

Tonight, I cooked two things. The first thing was jello. I made it with my brother, Levi.

Let me tell you how jello is made: You use hot water and cold water and you mix that with the powder inside the jello box. You stir it very well so the powder dissolves. You put the bowl of jello in the fridge so it gets hard. I will eat it the next day.

The other thing I cooked tonight was broccoli. I put too much salt in it while it was cooking. Frist I cut off the stalk after washing it. Then I cut the little branches off. Then I put it in a pan with a little water. My mistake was when I added way too much salt!!!!

I ate my broccoli and it didn't taste that good, but I ate it all. I don't want to waste food.

Next time, I'd like to cook eggs.

I love horses and goats also! We have 3 horses at this time, we did have 6 but we lost 3 due to the rains last year and we sold 2, so we have 1 left of the 6 and bought 2 more. We also have 4 goats at this time , i love my butter(her name) she calls out mama when she sees me and give me kisses, i tease my hubby that butter kisses me more than him. mj

Horses have always been my favorite animial, too. Goats are pretty neat as well.

Hope to meet you sometime if you ever go on one of Mom and Dad's business trips. We got to meet Paul Jr. when he and your dad were in Ohio last year!

My dear sweet mother never taught me to cook. I had to learn on my own after I got married!! We had some pretty bad meals before I learned how to do them right!! My oldest grand daughter just turned 15. She and I get together an cook up stuff to put in the freezer for family meals later. Last week she did the pumpkin bread and I did meat loaf and spaghetti sauce for the freezer. She always helps me at holidays also. I have 4 grand daughters. They all help me cook except the youngest. She is still to little to help. I also have 3 grand sons, they help me in the garden. So I guess they are helping provide food for the family also!!

Pancakes

On our trip to NC, I let my DD 9yo make pancakes. She loved it! They tasted great too:) I'm sure if she had the choice she'd add too much sugar and that would NOT be an accident-LOL!

broccoli

I like broccoli too, but I like it steamed. It keeps the nutrients in. Then you can just add the salt when its done. I steam my vegetables in a wire basket that hangs over the bioling water. We have a chart in the back of our Betty Crocker cookbook that tells you how long to steam each kind of vegetable. You just have to be careful to put enough water or it could boil off too soon!

Know this comment is LATE!!!! But, I had to tell you MY brocili story :-)

OK.

I was making it for dinner, and I put the brocili in the pot, and I forgot to put water in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was burnt. But, I ate it. Because it was acutally kinda good!!!
