Serenity and Maggie

Today was a very quiet day...it rained most of the day...so perfect for quietness and a bit of solitude.  My children were so well-behaved today that I hardly knew they were around.  They played so well together...probably still tired from our eventful day yesterday.  Plus we were reading books in the livingroom and listening to the rain falling...very serene.

Dh and dd took our Rotti to the vet as she had an eye infection.  Attempting to take her to the vet is difficult because she is not use to being anywhere accept on our property.  Last time she went to the clinic, I came home totally exhausted and almost every muscle in my body was pulled.  So needless to say, I really wasn't up for the aerobics.  But thankfully Maggie did really well...dh left her in the back of the van until it was her turn to see the vet...and they muzzled her while in her kennel before entering the office...this way the stress would be minimized....the vet was really great with her...found out her eye probably got poked while she was going through the brush or blackberries in our field.  But it was already healing itself.  Maggie also got her toe-nails clipped (thank you Dr.) and her yearly shots.  She has antibiotic eye drops for the next few days and hopefully that will do the trick...and I am glad she got her check-up right away...one less visit to make.

Made a pasta casserole for dinner and Anika made a Spinach salad with  blueberries, mandarins, feta cheese and toasted almonds with sweet'n sour dressing....she was very proud of herself...it was delicious.

Did a few loads of laundry and that is about all for the day.  Hope everyone had a wonderful day also.

Is the house at the top of your blog your home? It is so lovely. Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope your dog has a quick recovery. Enjoy the rain...we are praying for some to come our way.
