We have been hit by the flu this week and so I thought it was a good time to do a sitting project. I have been learning to knit and am comfortable making scarves but blankets? Too bulky for me. So, like riding a bicycle, I thought I would dust off the cobwebs and crochet. Guess what? I can still do! This blanket we will send to Newborns in Need. http://www.newbornsinneed.org/
Let's start praying and make room for God! Read this e-amil a friend sent me. Wherever you are in the world, set you clock to be at the same time and let's all pray together!
Blessings,
Flossie
ONE MINUTE EACH NIGHT
Reportedly, in WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England, its people and peace. This had an amazing effect, as bombing stopped.
There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America. If you would like to participate: each evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central, 7:00 PM Mountain, 6:00 PM Pacific), stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying for the safetyof the United States, our troops, our citizens and for peace in the world.
If you know anyone who would like to participate, please pass this along. Someone said ifpeople really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, wemight be speechless. Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have.
Devote yourself to prayer: stay alert in it with thanksgiving.
I just wanted to pass along a great group! Action impact Missions. Please check out their website. Invite the local team to do a presentation at your church or local group. You won't be sorry! READ ABOUT THEM AND BE BLESSED!
Headquarters - there are teams all over the country.
Well my day is starting and I am busy trying to write my list. I wanted to share with many of you who are crafty - if you can sew or knit or crochet or if you are starting to learn - my kids work on the kniffty knitter. There is an organization a friend told me about
that could use your help. Read the stories and if you can help that would be awesome. I am learning to knit and so I will be making some hats and I would love to make a few blankets.
Just wanted to share. So often after Christmas season we forget that people are in need everywhere still.
