Bless the Lord with Modest Dress

Thoughts of this day

Hello Friends,

Today was a very busy day for our family. Here's some of the happenings.

1st-We took our puppy to the vet. And praise the Lord this little puppy that everyone said would not make it...she is doing very well. God is so good.

2nd- We came home and showered up to get ready for the day...got the house organized and all items for deliveries ready.

3rd- We mailed an order and picked up all mail.

4th- Stopped for Cranberry slushes for all. It is really getting warm down here. But I will take heat better than snow anyday. :) Then we began our drive to a town about 45 minutes away.

5th- Stopped for tacos and then went to Wal-mart.

6th- Then to get fabric. The Lord was so good as they overcharged by $149.00 for fabric and when I slowly walked away....the gal asked if something was wrong. I looked at my receipt and said no. I was just checking...ended up my purchase was only $49.00. I was buying fabric for the girls and I some dresses. Whew! The Lord was so good that the woman cared about our purchase. What a blessing!

7th- Took a meal to a sick Mommy. She is having problems in her pregnancy. It was good to help. The Lord is so good.    

8th- We drove by to see our new church building and it is all coming along so nicely. The Brothers have worked so hard. It is a blessing. What a blessing to see all this taking place.

9th- We then went to visit friends, pickup cow's milk, and the children were going to swim...but instead they played board games. The mom and I had sweet fellowship. We so look forward to this time. Their children do as well it seems. I am thankful the Lord has supplied such sweet friends for our family.  

9th- I was too tuckered and stopped and picked up supper.

10th- We came home and just plopped down...ate our dinner and over half of us fell asleep.

My oldest wanted to sew...I told her no...tomorrow. When I came into write on my blog....I now hear her machine humming away. She is so excited about the fabric we bought for ourselves today. The Lord is wonderful to supply all our needs and for such a reasonalble price.

It has been a good day. We listened to a Charity Ministries Tape/CD while driving for young ladies. So it gave my oldest and I alot to discuss as we drove. My son pretended to be asleep. He could even benefit in that one day the CD spoke of  characteristics of a Christian young lady. So we were all blessed.

Well, that is our day. A day of blessing and being blessed. May the Lord bless each of our days and may we serve Him with a glad heart.

PS- My 13 yo son who is getting really big...was just playing chase with our not quite 3 lb. puppy. Such a sweet sight.  The Lord is so good.

Sounds like you had a busy and productive day. My days are pretty quite now that it is just DH and I. Well, and two dogs, two cats, four rabbits and a yard full of kids! I am just not used to staying home yet. I have only been retired one year. Seems odd not to be off to work every day.
